Daniel A. Davidow, Esq.
Daniel A. Davidow, Esquire, is the newest member of the firm. Dan was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has lived in South Jersey for most of his life. Dan attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick for his undergraduate education, where he focused on the study of Political Science and Philosophy. Upon graduation from Rutgers in May 2007, Dan enrolled in Rutgers School of Law-Camden. While attending Rutgers Law, Dan participated in Hunter Moot Court, a Criminal Practice course designed and taught by established, active criminal defense attorneys, and focused much of his academic schedule on criminal law, commercial law, and constitutional law. Dan graduated from Rutgers School of Law-Camden in May 2010, and was sworn in to the New Jersey Bar on November 30, 2010. Dan is certified to appear before the New Jersey Supreme Court and the Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey. Dan is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), the NJSBA Young Lawyers Division (YLD), and the NJSBA Local Government Law section, pending the completion of the application process.
In addition to his stellar academic and professional credentials, Dan brings a wide range of valuable experience to the firm. Daniel served as a Congressional Intern for Representative Robert E. Andrews (NJ-01) in Washington, DC during the summer of 2006. During his senior year at Rutgers, Dan worked in the Government Affairs and Policy department at Johnson and Johnson’s corporate headquarters in New Brunswick.
While attending Rutgers School of Law-Camden, Daniel was employed at local firm in Haddonfield, New Jersey, where he gained experience in matters of Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, and Matrimonial Law. Daniel has extensive experience in matters of pretrial preparation. That firm also represented a nearby municipality, giving Daniel experience and insight into local government representation.
In his short time at the firm, Dan has already demonstrated the ability to properly address complex legal issues, enthusiastically advocate for clients, and remain calm under pressure. Perhaps most importantly, Dan is committed to do whatever it takes to become one of the best young attorneys in South Jersey. Dan is a passionate, capable young attorney and the firm is extremely excited to have him on the team.
During his free time, Dan enjoys reading, playing golf, and following professional sports. Dan is also an animal lover who has one dog (Rosie) and three cats (Tuna, Grey Cat, and Juneau), all of which were adopted from animal shelters. Dan plans to adopt at least one more dog in the near future. However, despite the contentions of his family, Dan has no plans to open a zoo.
Nicholas J. Viola J.D.
Nicholas J. Viola is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. He served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Previti of the Superior Court Law Division in Atlantic County, New Jersey. During his clerkship, Nicholas received training as a mediator and successfully resolved approximately forty-five small claims disputes. Following his clerkship, Nicholas began an executive career in Philadelphia, PA with an international firm, specializing in national retained search and placement of business professionals. He then became Director of Attorney Placement for a nationally recognized legal staffing company. As a Director, Nicholas developed partnerships with regional and national law firms and provided consultation on the hiring of both temporary and permanent paralegals and attorneys. Nicholas was credited with the development and management of a large-scale discovery project involving the domestic and international placement of seventy attorneys for a Fortune 500 company.
Prior to joining the law firm of Michael J. Blee, Esquire, Nicholas provided consultative services in the recruiting and placement industry for corporate and law firm clients in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Nicholas joined the law firm in January of 2008 as a law clerk and specializes in the management of legal research projects and discovery matters at both the trial and appellate levels. He provides assistance in all litigation and transactional cases and actively interacts with the firm’s clients and the courts. Since joining the law firm of Michael J. Blee, Esquire, Nicholas has also received a Certification as a civil mediator from the New Jersey Office of Dispute Settlement and is in the process of becoming a mediator for the civil courts in New Jersey.
Katie Wessler
In March 2002, Katie Wessler was originally hired to work as a part time legal assistant to Michael J. Blee. The job quickly became full time and they formed an excellent working relationship. They share a common vision to produce high quality work and to always strive to obtain positive results on behalf of his clients. She admires his integrity, professionalism and diligent attention to his clients. In July 2007, Mike realized his dream and opened his own law practice. Katie was both delighted and honored when he invited her to join his new firm.
Prior to working for Mike, Katie was employed by several local attorneys where she gained invaluable experience. She has an extensive background working in the legal industry. She became a legal assistant and performed work in connection with a variety of legal matters. Under the supervision of an attorney, she became proficient at performing research and diligent inquiry, proofreading, transcription, the preparation of legal documents and correspondence in connection with work performed in the areas of general law, criminal defense, family law, employment litigation, estate planning, corporate law, personal injury litigation, municipal law, and real estate law, specializing in title litigation, in rem foreclosures and property tax appeals.
Katie assists in promoting a courteous and professional relationship with clients and always safeguards their confidentiality. As a notary, she experiences great personal satisfaction in being able to offer services to our homebound clients which often provides them with an obvious sense of comfort and peace. Katie’s clerical experience enables her to successfully manage all daily administrative operations for the firm, including, but not limited to, coordinating depositions and meetings, completing work in accordance with specific calendar deadlines and billing. Her philosophy is to maintain a highly organized and efficient office in order to facilitate the successful representation of every client. She appreciates the many challenges the job presents and is proud to play a role in the first-rate service it provides.
